Eoddata is usually reliable with a just an occassionally few bad days of data, however since 11/26/24 the stock files have incorrect volume format, the stock indices are incomplete and multiple days of these files are missing. The owner apparently goes on vacation and has no one in charge while he is gone. It is also possible that the company is out of business and the computers are running on automatic until power is shutoff as email inquiries are not answered.

FRAUD COMPANY

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO

This company is based in New Zealand. The Chicago address is a virtual address.

They will take your credit card and keep charging even if you request to cancel subscription.

Their is no phone number and no one answers emails.

I purchased a premium membership form this company 2 years ago for $44/month. After 2 months of subscription, I requested (using their online communication form) to cancel the subscription. They never responded and continued to bill me to date (for 1.5 years). They billed be a total of $1500 and there is no way I can get this money back!

I reported them fraud to my credit card company and the bank paid me for last 3 months of charges. They have blocked this company and I got a different credit card.

Purchased a bronze membership to test them out and after a couple days upgraded to silver. They continued to charge me every month for both levels. I have made repeated attempts to get in touch with them to get them to fix the issue and my messages go unreturned. I would highly, highly discourage anyone from using them. Awful company. The data is good, I will say that, so using the free account just to retrieve data from the website is worth it. Eventually I needed to change my Credit Card number and file disputes directly with my CC company in order to cancel the service as there is no way, once you subscribed, for you to cancel your service so they basically lock you into it every month with no way out. If you sign on and want to stop the service you will need to get in touch with your financial institution and have them put a vendor block in place to cancel. If I could give negative stars I would.

The data is okay and the service is reliable but there's no obvious way to cancel the service. I tried once by contacting them through the website and again via email a month later but no response from either and they keep charging my credit card. I've opened a dispute with my bank we'll see how that goes. Best avoided.
